Located on 8.5 acres in the Pigeon River Valley south of Canton in the environmentally protected river watershed, Winter Greens Farm specializes in a 12 month growing season for salad and cooking greens using low tunnels to protect plants in the winter with row cover and greenhouse plastic and in the summer with row cover and shade cloth. Seasonal produce is also grown in the spring through fall months. Begun in 2005 as Betsy's Farm we changed the business structure to a Limited Liability Company this summer. We have sold our produce at the Asheville City Market, Asheville Winter Market and Haywood's Historic Farmers Market in past years and are currently making home deliveries to customers in Buncombe and Haywood Counties as well as selling through the Patchwork Alliance. A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program has been part of our business model since the beginning and will be available for membership in the spring.

Only practices approved by the National Organic Program (NOP). Certified Organic 2012 through 2014 and applying for certification for 2021.
